The Musician's Circle is a fictional bar with themes that center around jazz and occult beliefs. The goal was to find a way to communicate a sense of mystery that imitates the act of discovering a hidden culture.
For inspiration, I looked to the designs of jazz albums and avant-garde art. I focused on the use of texture in both graphic and typographic forms.
Going into logo design, I wanted to create a symbol that would easily identify with both music and myth. I settled on a combination of the two main staves of music theory and manipulated them into the shape of an ear.
